Abstract

Educators in K12 settings are responsible for the effective collection, maintenance, storage, and dispensation of student data, much of which is protected by law. To most effectively deal with this data glut, process management and knowledge management strategies should be implemented, allowing for reflective consideration throughout the data lifecycle. Utilizing Khan’s eight-dimensional E-Learning Framework (Khan, 2001) as a base, this chapter provides insight into strategies that, when combined, offer support and direction for educational organizations to effectively minimize data errors.
