Abstract

A different method in designing symmetric dual reflector antennas is presented in this work. The main purpose in the design is to suppress blockage while the main reflector dimensions are minimized. The main reflector and the sub reflector are designed based on common equations of Cassegrain or Gregorian antennas. A comparison is made between the new design and the conventional Cassegrain. Simulation results are presented and show an increase in efficiency of the structure.
