Abstract
Objective To compare the clinical effects of minimally invasive total gastrectomy and laparoscopic-assisted radical total gastrectomy on gastric cancer. Methods A total of 184 patients who underwent total gastrectomy in General Hospital of Datong Coal Mine Group, from February 2016 to August 2017 were selected as research objects. Of them, 93 patients who underwent total laparoscopic radical gastrectomy were allocated into minimally invasive total gastrectomy group, while 91 patients who underwent laparoscopic-assisted radical total gastrectomy were selected as laparoscopic-assisted group. The surgical and postoperative recovery of the two groups were compared; the survival, tumor recurrence and tumor metastasis were compared between the two groups. Results The operation time and esophagojejunostomy time of laparoscopic-assisted group were shorter than those of minimally invasive total gastrectomy group, while the incision length was longer than that of minimally invasive total gastrectomy group (P 0.05). Conclusions Minimally invasive total gastrectomy and laparoscopic-assisted radical total gastrectomy both are safe and feasible, and they have good surgical results. Laparoscopic-assisted radical surgery has shorter operation time and esophagojejunostomy time, but longer pain time after operation. Key words: Gastric cancer; Minimally invasive total gastrectomy; Radical resection
