Abstract
In this paper we consider the block decoupling problem with stability. We characterize the minimal McMillan degree achievable for the block decoupled system. For this, we introduce a new list of integers which are feedback invariant. These integers are related in a simple way to the minimal number of unstable and infinite zeros of the block decoupled system.
