Abstract

Objective: In the last decade, there has been a trend to perform aortic valve procedures using minimally invasive techniques to reduce pain and surgical trauma. Although a lot of controversial findings surround the MIC-AVR, studies suggest benefits in intensive care unit and total hospital stay, although cross-clamp, cardiopulmonary bypass, and total operation times should be prolongated.
