Abstract

The MiniBooNE experiment at Fermilab is designed to confirm or rule out the LSND observation by looking for vμ → ve oscillations. Muon neutrinos are produced by 8 GeV protons from the Fermilab Booster. Neutrino data taking with is currently underway. We describe the experiment and our expected sensitivity to a neutrino oscillation signal.
