Abstract

In this paper, a new configuration of multi-layer surface plasmon polariton (SPP) slab waveguide with graphene and mid-layers of magneto-optic (MO) has been proposed and analyzed at the wavelength of 1550 nm. The results show that the five-layer waveguide of graphene-magneto-optic-graphene (GMOG) increases propagation length and decreases loss. As a result, the magneto-optic plasmonic isolator has been proposed using GMOG waveguide with 12dB isolation and 3.5 dB loss in the forward direction. The length of the structure is 34 μm that can be applied in photonic integrated circuits (PICs). In final proposed configuration, an optical gain medium has been used for improvement of propagation length.
