Abstract

AbstractThis article presents a novel miniaturized bandpass filter using a square ring. Each side of the ring is loaded almost at one of the ends with a stub. The stub increases the current path length; bring down the resonance frequency of the ring. The other end of each stub is terminated with a square patch whose size is kept such so as to give a dual‐mode characteristic. The proposed filter offers a size reduction of 67% over an unloaded square ring resonator. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
