Miniaturization of Thyristorized Power Supplies Using Pulse Modulation Techniques

Abstract

In case of data handling and data transmission system, the reduction in size of the equipment to consume less customer floor space is as important as the low cost and high efficiency. Although the use of thin film and integrated circuits has sufficiently reduced the size of logic portions of the circuitry yet the miniaturization of dc power supplies is also sometimes necessary when commercial ac power source is used.This paper discusses the circuitry and possible application of a miniature power supply using pulse modulation technique.
