Abstract
The current state trends in the development of portable gas chromatographs were considered. A classification of portable chromatographs was proposed (compact devices, field devices, on-chip micro chromatographs, and special micro chromatographs). Performance and analytical characteristics of domestically produced and foreign portable chromatographs were presented. Portable gas chromatographs for space exploration, high-flow-rate gas chromatography, and new applications of portable chromatographs were considered.
