Abstract
The focus of this workshop was the modeling, analysis and nu- merical simulation of biological membranes. The fundamental models which characterize equilibria are based on bending energies such as the Helfrich energy and suitable generalizations. Talks in the workshop focused on equi- librium shapes of membranes and vesicles, the corresponding relaxation dy- namics and the coupling with outer or inner flows.
