Abstract
Mini emulsified Butylacrylate/Acrylonitrile (BA/AN) copolymer-silica nanoparticles (NPs) nanocomposites were used as functional binder. The prepared nanocomposites contained three different amounts of silica NPs 1, 3, 5 wt%. Two different textile fabrics; cotton fabric 100%, and synthetic polyester fabric 100%; were printed using printing paste contain the prepared nanocomposites via silk screen printing technique. The prepared copolymer, silica nanoparticles and their nanocomposites were fully characterized. The printed fabrics were evaluated by investigation their surfaces morphology, color properties, hydrophobic behaviors and UV protection properties.
