Abstract

The coals of the district of Teruel (NE Spain) presents as mine wastes several industrial minerals aud rocks (sands, kaolins, clays, Al-sulfates ) the mining of wich would be interesting. The aim of this work is the mineralogical an ceramic characterisation of these cLays. So mineralogical and petrographical data as well as iechnological data concerning granulometry, chemical analysis and Atterberg index have bean used in order to compare these clays with those analized and typified in previous works and with those actually used as ceramic raw materials in the NP of Teruel.
