Abstract
ABSTRACT Iron Molybdophospahate (FeMoPO) was used as a catalyst in heterogeneous Fenton process for the treatment of stabilized landfill leachate. COD removal efficiency of 84.9% and TOC removal of 71% was obtained with operating parameters of pH 2, H2O2 9mM, and FeMoPO 1.75 g/L at 90 min. Biodegradability increase (0.03 to 0.38) and SUVA254 value decrease indicated the breakdown of large organic matter. To optimize the Fenton process 4-factor 3-level Box-Behnken response surface design was adopted. Significant quadratic model was generated with R2 of 0.9920. Predicted response for COD removal was 86.44%, which found to be in reasonable agreement with experimental result.
