Abstract

Abstract The association between typical accessory minerals of granitic pegmatites and accompanying feldspars, micas, quartz, petalite and spodumene has been studied statistically in a fairly large mineral collection. The results are thought to be representative for Sweden. Localities outside Fennoscandia fit the general picture thus derived, but the foreign material is too small to give a reliable picture on its own. The following minerals have been considered: Allanite, gadolinite, topaz, beryl, tourmaline, monazite, apatite, triplite, triphyline, lithiophilite, amblygonite, euxenite, fergusonite, yttrotantalite, columbite, tantalite, cassiterite and microlite. The results are presented in the form of tables of primary observations, and as diagrams of individual minerals together with notes on localities and common mineral combinations. In a general sense the results confirm earlier deductions from qualitative field-observations. Some amplification has been gained, and a better definition of the two-fol...
