Abstract

On basis of the theory of Geostatistics, using the data of geology, assay records of borehole samples, and the cross-sections in Pulang copper deposit, using virtual borehole, BP net work, and 3D geological model technologies integration, borehole data are optimized, and the Pulang deposit 3D prediction models are constructed by 3D-GIS interpolation technology. In this paper, the main insights in 3D models of Pulang Cu deposits are as follows:(1) the maximum mineralization depth of the rock is 1050 m in the KT1 of the south study area;(2) both the mineralized body of 3D model and the ore-body of 3D model are like a cone. The 3D model of higher grade of copper has a correlative to the ¿y¿ faults and the alteration zone; (3) the concealed ore bodies can be inferred. Both the north zone and the south zone in the study area have concealed ore bodies at depth respectively, and the western zone of the study area is a potential region for ore prospecting;(4) on basis of the 3D copper mineralized body model, the potential Cu reserve is about 6,058,000t in this deposit.
