Abstract

Mineralogy and petrography of complex rocks in area of the Shishim mine in the South Urals is studied. Various skarn assemblages with dominant pyroxene, garnet, vesuvianite, monticellite, chlorite and epidote are developed after gabbroids and granitoids. The formation of skarns was accompanied by the formation of carbonatite and chloritolite dikes, as well as bodies of carbonatite-pegmatites and chloritolite-pegmatites. The rock-forming minerals are refined, secondary and accessory minerals of rocks are studied including allanite, anhydrite, apatite, baddeleyite, barite, calcirtite, perovskite, valleriite, zircon, and zirconolite. Keywords: skarns, carbonatites, chloritolites, Southern Urals.
