Abstract

LaOF:Tb3+ (1-9 mol%) nanophosphors(NPs) were prepared by solution combustion synthesis using Mimosa Pudica as green extract. The obtained NPs dispersed pure green emission which corresponds to 5D4→7FJ (J = 5, 4, 3) transitions Tb3+ ions under 482 nm excitation. The optimized NPs were exposed as an effective labeling agent for the the visualization of latent fingerprints(LFPs) porous and non-porous surfaces. The results of LFPs showed high contrast, high sensitivity and low back interface. The CIE chromaticity co-ordinates were located in green region. The overall results indicate that LaOF:Tb3+NPs can be effectively utilized in FPs identification, anticounterfeiting and WLEDs.
