Abstract
Transmission of 2 × 500 Mbps using Subcarrier Multiplexing (SCM) over 500 m graded-index multimode fiber combining modal diversity with direct detection and Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) signal processing is demonstrated. Superior performance compared with Intensity Modulation Direct Detection (IM-DD) scheme is shown. (2 pages)
