Abstract
ABSTRACTIn this article, a miniaturized multiple input and multiple output antenna doublet is proposed for the ultrawideband communication. Two semielliptical antenna elements having semicircular parasitic patches/defected ground planes, sine‐curve based meander‐line parasitic structures, and smoothly tapered feed lines are proposed in this article. Moreover, a sine‐curve based nested T‐shaped decoupling structure is used to achieve a decoupling/isolation of at least 20 dB over most of the frequency band. More importantly, the proposed design has a compact size of 30 × 50.5 mm2. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Microwave Opt Technol Lett 56:1547–1553, 2014
