Abstract

With common design methods, an architect collects information and data, filters that data through his knowledge and experience, performs analyzes, exercises judgements and creates design concepts, during the process. The more information that is easly available for review and integration into the development of a design, the more freedom the designer will get. CAD systems are joining word processing and accounting systems as commonplace tools in most firms because of their advantages at these points. The main reason lies under this revolution is the competitive atmosphere caused by the industrial production as in every profession. This is the point where information technologies take role. Usage of information technologies brings many opportunities but on the other hand reengineering of the firms should be done. Investing money in technology is not a guarantee of enjoying its benefits. Only thoughtful planning, commited management, well-trained staff, conscious purchasing, and a continuing reevaluation of methods of practice help ensure a positive impact.
