Abstract

Millimeter waves antiferromagnetic resonance experiments with backward wave oscillators yield precise measurements of the zero-field energy and of the splitting of the lowest energy band of the propagating magnetic excitations in crystals of Mn 1−xCo x F 2 with x = 0.003 and x = 0.27. The zero-field energies are in good agreement with previously published data while values of g z which characterizes the linear magnetic field splitting are reported for the first time.
