Abstract

An improved one-stationary bistatic synthetic aperture radar (OS-BiSAR) range migration algorithm (RMA) with loss compensation for millimeter-wave imaging is presented. In the process of image reconstruction, the 2-D spectral amplitude factor is considered during the Fourier transform process for compensation of the propagation loss, and the linear-phase 2-D spectrum formula is derived. The efficiency of the proposed algorithm is analyzed theoretically and demonstrated experimentally. Numerical simulations and experimental results show that the proposed algorithm performs well in compensating range loss, resulting in range-independent consistency in image resolution and contrast.
