Abstract

Abstract While the 2013 Arthur Miller Journal essay by Ou Rong and me focuses on Miller's collaboration with Ying Ruocheng alone, this essay explores Miller's collaboration with the entire Beijing People's Art Theatre cast and crew involved with the staging of Death of a Salesman in 1983. Through detailed analysis of overlooked materials it attempts to accentuate Miller's late-life East-West collaboration and renewal of theatrical innovation.
