Abstract

This paper addresses the main question of the body aesthetics of “cyborg” and “posthuman” in Taiwan. Taking the Taiwanese millennial artists as examples, my study pays attention to those focusing on the interdisciplinary art presented in digital technology and biotechnology. Today, in response to the “posthuman” society, notions regarding art might shift away from human-centered questions, such as “Who am I?” to “What do I want to be?”. By taking the new technology as a revolutionary weapon to break through the physical and conceptual constraints of the natural body, we can now claim that “everyone can be an art/work” and “Art” may be written as “Art” after we have already become “Human.”
