Abstract

Purpose: Maintainability is a measure of ease and speed with which a system or equipment can be recovered to an operational state after a failure. In addition, maintainability is an indicator that should be considered as a parameter during system development for calculating availability and reliability in the analysis of Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) analysis of a weapons system.
Methods: The calculation model for each maintenance task of Method A of Procedure V, which is a method for predicting maintenance as presented in MIL-HDBK-472, is applied according to the maintenance philosophy.
Results: The developed software efficiently predicted maintenance plans for a weapons system and can be applied during their development.
Conclusion: Using the software, maintainability can be predicted and simulated by applying the required time and ambiguity parameters for each maintenance element.
