Abstract

Transitions in clinical improvisation initiated by client or therapist in a single session of an individual music therapy within the context of psychosomatic treatment and their significance for transitions in the client’s verbal expression are examined. Changes of musical role as well as changes of topic in verbal expression are visualised in microanalyses. The discussion develops against the background of dramatic processes and confrontation as well as negative experiences and emotions.
