Abstract

RATIONALE: Multiple dendritic cell (DC) subsets exist in cutaneous lymph nodes capable of presenting cognate peptide antigen on MHC class II to naïve CD4 + T cells. Although all DC subsets present antigen efficiently in vitro, the requirement for each population in initiating the CD4 + T cell response in vivo remains unclear.
