Abstract

Migration to other countries to work brings about changes to the labor force in both the host and home country. Economists, in particular, examine the consequence of in‐migration on the native labor force in the host country and of emigration on the labor force of the home country. The impact on the wages and employment of the native labor force depends on many factors but is often small or nonexistent.
