Abstract

G029 MIGRATION AMPLITUDE CORRECTIONS IN ANGLE-DOMAIN USING BEAMLET DECOMPOSITION Abstract 1 Using bemlet decomposition of wave field we propose a method of amplitude corrections in angledomain for true-amplitude imaging of wave-equation based migration. Local image matrix in angledomain based on local perturbation theory of beamlet propagation is obtained. Amplitude correction in background media is realized through WKBJ approximation. The acquisition aperture correction is carried out using the AAE (Acquisition Aperture Efficacy) matrix or ADR (Acquisition Dip Response) which includes both the effects of acquisition system configuration and the propagation through complex overburden. Two types of amplitude corrections can be obtained
