Abstract
This chapter provides an overview of the migration process of migrants from the former Soviet Union (FSU) to Germany. It starts with a short overview of the migration history of the two largest FSU migrant groups in Germany — ethnic Germans and Jewish migrants, followed by an overview of empirical findings about the social and labour market integration of these two migrant groups in Germany. The last subsection demonstrates the findings from available studies on self-employment among FSU migrants.
