Reply from the Authors: The patient described in our article1 had recurrent migraine-associated vasomotor collapse and resistant hypertension when he was migraine free. The goal of treatment was to prevent migraine attacks and to control hypertension. Drugs used for the prevention of migraine are classified in four distinct groups: serotoninergic, beta-adrenergic blockers, alpha-2 adrenergic agonists, and calcium channel blockers.
