Abstract

In modern midwifery research, we are very quick to say ‘in the developed world’, but have you ever considered that this includes a huge range of countries with differing cultures, languages, people and even midwives? This article reflects on the experience of two UK midwives who attended a postgraduate course at OsloMet University. The experience showed that the passion for midwifery as a vocation, an art, or even a calling, is transnational.
