Abstract
In our previous work, it has been presented that the reflectance spectrum of 2D MDM (Metal-Dielectric-Metal) structure in rectangular arrangement will be affected significantly by the diameter and period of disk at the range of Mid-infrared, not only peak position but also peak width. In this work, with the help of simulation and experiment results, it was found that as the period of disk array, which radius is 1.7 µm, increasing from 7.0 to 7.6 µm, the RA (Rayleigh Anomalies) will approach to the LSPR (Localized Surface Plasmon Resonance) kept at 7.46 µm. The overlapping of the peaks can reduce the FWHM (Full Width at Half Maximum) of LSPR obviously. Experiment results indicate that the FWHM of LSPR can be narrowed from 266 to 249 nm.
