Abstract

Background: Indications to Le Fort 3 level advancement distraction osteogenesis include midface hypoplasia, leading to severe obstructive sleep apnea, orbital hypoplasia as evidenced by varying degrees of proptosis complicated by conjunctival and globe irritation, as well as many craniofacial syndromes with orbito-maxillary hypoplasia such as Crouzon syndrome, Apert syndrome, Pfeiffer syndrome, and achondroplasia.
