Abstract

To report a rare case of left middle cerebral artery thrombosis in a patient after controlled ovarian hyperstimulation and IVF. Case report. University-affiliated teaching hospital. A 30-year-old woman who had undergone invitro fertilization and subsequently developed left middle cerebral artery thrombosis. Ovulation induction with gonadotropins, IVF-ET, sodium ozagrel injection, and mannitol and albumin administration. Outcome of treatment. The patient survived with some neurologic sequelae. Prevention of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome is key to reducing incidence of thrombosis. Be aware of any neurologic symptoms after IVF-ET. Immediate and correct therapy should be given after thrombosis is suspected.
