Abstract
In this work, NIR-emitting silver sulfide quantum dots (Ag2S QDs) with outstanding aqueous dispersion and superior stability can be directly prepared by a simple microwave synthesis method using D-penicillamine and silver nitrate (AgNO3) in different ratios in pure water. The fluorescence intensity of the prepared near-infrared fluorescent silver sulfide quantum dots was quenched in the presence of dopamine, which was used as an ultrasensitive sensing probe for DA detection. The developed sensing probe based on Ag2S QDs showed a linear response over a wide range of 0–140 μM. The detection limit was 0.77 μM.
