Abstract

In this paper, a microstrip antenna with Micro-Electro-Mechanical-System (MEMS) battery has been designed and simulated for Super High Frequency range. The Simulated results indicate 12.5, 28, 34.5 and 38.5 GHz as the center frequencies of the simulated results with insertion losses -17.2, -10.2, -9.2 and 15.3 dB respectively. The Super High Frequency is from 3 to 30 GHz and the Ku band is between 12 -18 GHz for ITU Region 1, 2 and 3 for fixed and direct-broadcasting Satellite, Radiolocation Services (Radar), Communication Satellite in the geostationary Orbit and Aircraft Navigation. The simulated centre frequency of 12.5 GHz can be operated for United States between the frequencies (12.2-12.7) GHz for Direct Broadcast Satellite, Australia downlinking from 11.70 GHz to 12.75 GHz and Europe 12.2 to 12.75 GHz.
