Abstract
Fluoroborane. BH 2F, has been detected as a transient chemical species in the reaction of diborane with trifluoroborane by microwave spectroscopic technique. The rotational constants obtained for three isotopic species of this molecule are (in MHz): [formula] The dipole moment has been determined to be μ a = 0.82 (5) D for 11BD 2F. The quadrupole coupling constants and the molecular structure have also been determined.
