Abstract

ABSTRACT The propagation of a microwave phase-modulated pulse through a section of a circular corrugated waveguide with sinusoidal corrugation is considered in the single-mode approximation. The temporal transfer functions of the waveguide measured in transmission and reflection are presented and used for computation of output pulses’ intensities. It is shown that the effect of time compression of hoth output pulses can be observed under certain conditions.
