Abstract

Down-conversion heterodyne processes are observed at f = 21 GHz for high temperature superconducting granular thin film bridges. A complete investigation for classic mixing is carried out at T = 13 K. A double side band conversion loss L DSB = 16 dB and a noise temperature T N = 50±10 K are obtained for poor quality bridges (in the sense of self-radiation absence).
