Abstract

The rotational spectrum of vinylstibine was recorded by pulsed-nozzle microwave Fourier transform spectroscopy between 5 and 40 GHz. H2C12CH121SbH2, H2C12CH123SbH2, H2C13CH121SbH2 and H2C13CH123SbH2 isotopic species were observed in natural abundance and frequencies of the lines were fitted to the Hamiltonian of Watson (A reduction, Ir representation). Rotational and quartic centrifugal distortion constants and also quadrupole tensor elements and spin–rotation constants were derived for each isotopic species. An rs substitution distance for the C–Sb bond length was calculated as rs(C–Sb) = 2.13(3) Å.
