Abstract

ABSTRACT ALFALFA temperature was measured after drying in home and laboratory type microwave ovens with varying airflow for moisture determination. The error in moisture content compared to the standard convection oven procedure was directly related to final product temperature. Procedures are outlined to minimize the error in moisture content determined by microwave drying.
