Abstract

In this study, the microwave dielectric properties of Zn2SnO4 ceramics prepared by the conventional solid-state method were investigated for application in mobile communication. ZnO–B2O3–SiO2 was selected as a liquid sintering aid to reduce the sintering temperature of Zn2SnO4 ceramics. By adding 3.0wt.% ZnO–B2O3–SiO2, a dielectric constant of 11.44 and a quality factor (Q×f) of 33,000GHz were obtained when Zn2SnO4 ceramics were sintered at 1075°C for 4h. The proposed CPW-fed inverted-U shaped monopole antenna has a 6dB return loss with bandwidth 204MHz (2371–2575MHz) in the lower band, 1520MHz (3130–4650MHz) in the middle band, and 460MHz (5250–5710MHz) in the higher band.
