Abstract

This paper investigates microwave (MW)-assisted magnetization reversal (MAMR) in dispersed nanosized barium ferrite (BaFe) particles. MAMR in dispersed nanosized BaFe particles was observed using vector network analyzer ferromagnetic resonance spectroscopy with coplanar waveguides, in this investigation. The average size of BaFe particles was 1750 nm3. A frequency-dependent reduction in the switching field was observed in response to an MW impulse of duration 50 ns and with a frequency of approximately 22 GHz. This result suggests that MAMR was observed in dispersed nanosized BaFe particles.
