Abstract
The microwave and millimeter-wave absorption spectra of 13C-substituted CD 3OH have been investigated in the frequency range 18-116 GHz. All transition frequencies have been measured for the J = 1 ← 0 to J = 3 ← 2 a-type R-branch multiplets for the lowest three torsional states. Asymmetry splittings were observed for the K = 1 and 2 lines of the A torsional symmetry species. In addition, frequencies have been measured for a substantial number of b-type transitions in the torsional ground state, including the K = 1 ← 0 E 1, K = 1 ← 2 E 1, and K = 3 ← 2 A Q branches. The measured frequencies of the a-type transitions have been fitted to a semiempirical torsion-rotation Hamiltonian and accurate a-type spectroscopic parameters have been determined.
