Abstract
Microvascular transfer of the great toe has become an accepted technique for reconstruction of the amputated thumb in selected cases. In a few instances, double transfer of lesser toes has been used to reconstruct multiple finger amputations when the thumb was intact. This report describes the reconstruction of a thumb and an opposable finger in a patient who had lost all digits. A rationale for patient selection, preoperative planning, and postoperative management is also presented.
