Abstract

In myelinated fibres, the electrical stimulation determines a microtubule density higher than that of resting fibres. In this series, it is shown that the same behaviour occurs in non-medullated fibres activated through the synapse. It is suggested that modulation of axonal microtubules by the action potential is an ongoing process.
