Abstract
Results: It was not possible to obtain strength values from group 2 because of an occurrence of spontaneous failure after storage. Groups 3 and 4 showed greater values when compared with group 1 (positive control), although only group 4 showed statistical difference to control (P<0.05). Stereomicroscope images showed adhesive failure for all specimens. Conclusion: The use of MMA monomer, 2:1 CR-AR mixture and the bonding system as surface treatments improved bond strength between acrylic resin teeth and composite.
