Abstract
Compression tests were carried out at 0°,45°and 90° to the axis direction of the extrude 7075 aluminum bar using GLEEBLE-1500 thermal simulation machine. Optical microscopy were used for microstructure characterization. The results shows that the as received extruded 7075 aluminum bar are of characteristic lamellar structure. The microstructure evolution and dynamic recrystallization characteristic are anisotropic with increasing strain with loading direction aligned at 0°,45°and 90° to the axis direction of the extrude 7075 bar, which contributed to the anisotropic mechanical behavior of this extruded aluminum bar.
